What is the timeline for product customization? How long in advance should you contact us to enquire about customization? In the business world, every event and every step must be taken with the safest and most certain timing: the word “delay” is a term that nobody wants to hear, least of all when it comes to deliveries.
For this reason, one of the main concerns we hear from our customers is knowing what delivery date of personalized adhesive tapes will be, in order to be able to set up the order in advance.
In our e-commerce site, given the nature of the products sold – adhesive tapes of various kinds and adhesive tapes with customization – the delivery dates can be very varied: the printing process in fact can take time, which, of course, does not affect the delivery time of adhesive tapes and double-sided adhesive tapes ready for shipment.
Delivery times for shipping our adhesive tape
Let’s start with the simplest and fastest option: that is, the delivery time for non-customized adhesive tape. Therefore, professional double-sided adhesive tape, rolls of strong insulating double-sided adhesive tape, duct tape, double-sided adhesive tapes for fitted carpeting application, and so on.
In these cases, when printing logos or writing is not required, order preparation is very fast, as there is no need for any customization. Because of this, when products are already in stock, shipping times are brief: 2 to 3 days from order reception.
How much time is needed for customization?
How long in advance should you contact us for customization?
Things change once custom adhesive tape is involved. In that case, we advise our customers that shipping time averages 3 or 4 weeks from the print draft date.
For this reason, our advice is always to place the order well in advance, ideally 6 weeks ahead of time, so as to be sure to avoid delays caused by peak work periods.
Customers who regularly rely on our e-commerce professional custom adhesive tape know this well, and for they place their orders and reorders with 6 weeks’ notice ahead of the date when the new stock of adhesive tapes will actually be used.
The shipping price for custom adhesive tape
Our e-commerce site offers free shipping for all orders over 199 euros, excluding VAT. However, in the case of custom tapes, free shipping is always guaranteed, regardless of the final price of the order.
Why is the timeline for custom adhesive tape delivery so long?
Why, starting from the confirmation of the graphic draft, does the timeline stretch over several weeks? In a world where we are used to e-commerce making normal deliveries of certain products in 48 or 24 hours, this is a question which may naturally arise.
The this is, these are custom products. Not only that, as these aren’t ready-made products which only require external customization, as are, for example, of a custom packaging boxes.
By the very nature of adhesive tape, in fact, printing is not an external process carried out on a ready-made product, but rather on a product that is “created” and customized at the same time.
Think, for example, of the of our custom adhesive tape printed through the Sandwich printing technique: the background colour is not made through a classic print, but by the colour of the glue employed.
Moreover, the print is not placed on the outer side of the double-sided adhesive tape, but on the inner one, in order to ensure a long shelf life, without the fear of wear due to friction. That is why it is best to request customization a few weeks in advance!
